Chevrolet window sticker by VIN
A Chevrolet window sticker is the Monroney label GM printed for that exact vehicle: trim, engine and transmission, standard equipment, every factory option with its RPO code and price, and the total MSRP. NotedCar retrieves the original PDF from GM's own archive by VIN, which covers Chevrolets from the 2022 model year onward — Silverado, Equinox, Trax, Trailblazer, Malibu, Traverse, Tahoe and the rest.

Which Chevrolet VINs have a sticker
GM publishes the original sticker for Chevrolet vehicles from the 2022 model year on. We last tested its archive on October 28, 2026 with random VINs from our Copart and IAAI lots:
| Model years | Sticker from GM |
|---|---|
| 2022 and newer | 25 of 26 VINs |
| 2020–2021 | 0 of 10 VINs |
15% of the 97,230 Chevrolet lots we tracked at Copart and IAAI between June 26, 2026 and October 4, 2026 are model year 2022 or newer.
For an older Chevrolet, the free check also asks a second source. It finds a sticker less often, and the purchase is only offered when it does.
What the Chevrolet sticker shows
Every Monroney label carries the same federally required blocks. These are the ones to read first:
- Base price, each factory option with its price, the destination charge and the total MSRP.
- Standard equipment, grouped by functional, safety, interior and exterior features.
- Engine, transmission and drivetrain, written out in words.
- The EPA fuel-economy and environment label (MPG, or range and MPGe for an EV) — absent on trucks over 8,500 lb GVWR.
- NHTSA 5-star safety ratings, or "Not rated" where the model wasn't tested.
- Final assembly point, U.S./Canadian parts content and the countries the engine and transmission came from.
On a Chevrolet in particular
GM lists options by RPO code — the three-character factory codes such as Z71 for the off-road package — and its PDF also carries the vehicle's complete RPO list and the factory order number in the text layer, which helps when matching parts or checking a trim.
Silverado 2500 and 3500 HD stickers have no EPA fuel-economy label or parts-content box — trucks over 8,500 lb gross vehicle weight rating are exempt — but print the GVWR itself (10,250 lb on the 2025 Silverado 2500 we pulled) and the trailering equipment.
Chevrolets built to Canadian order come with a bilingual English/French label priced in Canadian dollars; the equipment section reads the same way.

Chevrolet VIN prefixes
The first three characters of a VIN (the WMI) identify the manufacturer and the country the prefix is registered to — usually, not always, where the car was assembled. The sticker itself names the final assembly point.

| KL7 | South Korea | 22% | Trax, Trailblazer |

Chevrolet window sticker FAQ
What does Z71 on a Chevy window sticker mean?
Z71 is GM's RPO code for the off-road package on the Silverado, Colorado, Tahoe and Suburban — off-road suspension, skid plates and related hardware, depending on the model. A truck sold as a Z71 should have the code on its sticker.
Is the window sticker the same as the RPO label in the glovebox?
No. GM's Service Parts Identification label (usually in the glovebox) lists the RPO codes only. The window sticker names each option in words, gives its original price and adds the MSRP, the EPA label and the safety ratings.
Which Chevrolet model years have a window sticker?
GM publishes stickers for Chevrolet vehicles from the 2022 model year on. On October 28, 2026 its archive returned a sticker for 25 of 26 VINs from 2022 onward, and for none of the 10 VINs from 2020–2021 we tried. For an older VIN the free check also asks a second source, which finds one less often.
Is it the original sticker or a recreation?
The original. For a Chevrolet from 2022 on we deliver the PDF GM itself publishes for the VIN — the label that was on the car's window, not a page rebuilt from a VIN decode. Every file is checked before delivery, so the placeholder the manufacturer returns when it has no sticker is never passed off as one.
Can the sticker show that a Chevrolet was a rental or fleet car?
Sometimes. GM labels for fleet orders can carry a "Fleet processing option" line; 3 of the 25 GM stickers we read had one. A sticker without it doesn't prove private first ownership — a history report covers that.
Is the MSRP on the sticker what the car sold for?
No. It's the manufacturer's suggested retail price with factory options and the destination charge, before dealer discounts or markups, taxes and dealer-installed accessories. Use it to compare equipment and the original price level, not as the price the first owner paid.
How much does a Chevrolet window sticker cost?
45 ₴. Checking the VIN is free; a card payment is only held and is captured once the PDF is issued — if the sticker can't be retrieved, the hold is released. No account or CARFAX report is needed.
