What goes into the full cost

For a cheaper car, the auction bid is roughly half of what it ends up costing in Ukraine. The rest comes in four blocks, and the calculator prices each of them separately.

  1. Auction: bid and fees

The buyer fee from the Copart or IAAI table, the gate fee, the online bid fee, the environmental fee and documentation. Copart prices cars with a non-clean title on a separate, more expensive table.

  2. Transport to a US port

Trucking from the yard to the departure port. It grows with distance, so the calculator takes the cheapest route, freight included, from the yard you choose.

  3. Sea, port and delivery within Ukraine

Ocean freight, unloading and port costs at the port of arrival, and delivery to the city you choose.

  4. Customs and registration

10% duty, excise by engine size and age, 20% VAT, broker services and the 3–5% pension fund fee at first registration. Electric cars pay neither duty nor the pension fund fee.

Where the rates come from

Auction fees follow the published Copart and IAAI tables for the title type. Transport, freight, port and customs use NotedCar's standard rates, the same ones the free lot report prices with.

This is an estimate, not an invoice: a carrier or dealer may have different prices and their own margin. If you buy through a dealer, compare their calculation with this one. The difference is usually in logistics.
